Cookie and storage notice
The storage categories used by PuzzleForm and how optional analytics and marketing choices are controlled.
Necessary browser storage keeps local projects, security state and consent choices working. Optional analytics and marketing storage remains disabled until the visitor grants consent.
Website campaign display state also remains on the device. It remembers only that a configured message was seen or permanently dismissed, so the requested display frequency can work without transmitting that choice to PuzzleForm.
The account setting for sharing source files for quality improvement is not a cookie purpose and is not bundled into “accept all”. It is a separate, authenticated, voluntary permission with its own withdrawal control.
Current categories
- Necessary: editor state, security and consent record.
- Product analytics: optional usage and conversion events.
- Marketing: optional consent-gated campaign display. Newsletter and other marketing emails require a separate account choice or confirmed double opt-in.
Which analytics service is used
None. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no Matomo, no third-party tag manager and no external tracking script anywhere on this site. Nothing about a visit is sent to another company.
The measurement is written by PuzzleForm 3D itself and stored in our own database in the EU, and it runs only after analytics consent has been given.
What is stored when analytics consent is given
- The page address, with identifiers removed. A project or listing id in the path is replaced by a placeholder before it is recorded.
- Whether the event came from the public website or the editor.
- How long the page was open.
- What was clicked, as the button or link label.
- The site you arrived from, reduced to its domain. The full referring address is discarded.
- Limited product milestones: editor step number, sign-in method category, export started and export completed.
- A random identifier your browser generates for itself and keeps in local storage, so two page views can be recognised as one visit.
What is never stored
- No cookie is set for analytics. The identifier lives in local storage and nothing is transmitted in a cookie header.
- No IP address is recorded.
- No device fingerprint, screen, font or hardware profile is collected.
- No model geometry, file content, form value, email address or account id is included.
Control and retention
Analytics is off until you switch it on. You can change or withdraw the choice at any time through the privacy settings link in the footer. Withdrawing it deletes the random identifier from your browser immediately and stops all further measurement.
Analytics records are deleted automatically ninety days after they are written.
The record of your choice
Your choice is stored in your browser, and that copy is what switches the measurement on and off.
A record of the choice is also written to our database, because we have to be able to demonstrate it (Art. 7(1) GDPR). Both accepting and refusing are recorded, and so is a later withdrawal. Each record holds only which category was chosen, whether it was granted or refused, the version of this notice you were shown, where the choice was made, and the time.
No IP address, no account and no name is stored with it. The record is filed under a second random identifier your browser generates for itself, so it cannot be connected to you by us. If you clear your browser storage that link is gone for good, which also means the record can no longer be traced back to you at all.
These records are kept for as long as we may have to prove the choice, and are not used for any other purpose.
