Terms of service and product use

1. Operator and scope

PuzzleForm 3D is operated by Hellinckx Process Simulation e.U., Jacob-Rauschenfelsgasse 40, 7000 Eisenstadt, Austria. These terms govern the website, the browser editor, the curated model library and the export service. Paid subscriptions and credits are additionally subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Paddle acts as merchant of record and identifies the applicable contracting entity at checkout.

There is no user-to-user marketplace in the service. Users cannot publish models, create creator pages, onboard as sellers, list third-party products, collect payouts or share revenue through PuzzleForm.

2. Accounts

An account is required to spend credits and to download an export. Creating an account requires acceptance of the current Terms of Service and acknowledgement of the current Privacy Notice; the applicable versions and acceptance time are recorded. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your credentials secure. Accounts are for a single person or a single legal entity.

3. What the service does

PuzzleForm converts a 3D model you provide into an interlocking, printable puzzle. Import, configuration and geometry calculation take place in your browser. For signed-in accounts, completed compiled results and thumbnails are stored privately so they can appear in slice history and be unlocked or downloaded later. The service also offers a curated library of models selected and licensed by the operator; opening one creates a private project and does not transfer ownership of the underlying source model. Original source geometry is shared for quality investigation only after the separate, voluntary account permission described in the Privacy Notice. The service produces geometry; it does not check whether a user-supplied model may lawfully be used, whether a print will succeed on your printer, or whether the result is safe for any particular purpose.

The division of a model is deterministic computational geometry. The service contains no machine-learning or generative model, and it creates no images, faces, likenesses, voices or text. Its output is the model you supplied, cut into parts. The acceptable use policy states this and the prohibited uses in full.

4. Plans, credits and commercial use

The pricing page and the checkout show the applicable price, renewal interval, credit allocation and commercial permission. One complete export costs one credit regardless of part count; downloading a version that has already been unlocked does not cost another credit. Credits are tied to the account and are not transferable or redeemable for money.

A commercial plan grants the right to sell physical objects you print from puzzles you created with the service, within the limits of section 7. It does not grant any right to the underlying 3D models: rights in a source model always come from that model's own licence, not from your PuzzleForm plan. A commercial plan never overrides a restriction imposed by the creator of a source model or by a third-party licence.

Commercial rights end when the plan ends. Objects already produced and sold are not affected; new commercial production requires an active plan.

5. Curated model library

The library is a catalogue maintained by Hellinckx Process Simulation e.U.. Its models are selected by the operator and accompanied by source and licence information. Where a source licence requires attribution, the attribution must remain with any permitted physical or digital result. A library model is a starting point for a private editor project; it is not a user submission, seller listing or transfer of the underlying model rights.

Users may import their own STL or OBJ files privately in the editor. Those files are not published, listed, sold or made available to other users by PuzzleForm. Users have no account control for public model uploads or publication because those features are not offered.

6. Source-model rights and digital files

You must own a model you import or hold a licence that covers every intended use. PuzzleForm does not grant, replace or expand rights in a third-party source model, brand, character, design or other protected material. If the source-model licence is more restrictive, that restriction continues to apply.

PuzzleForm project files, generated STL files and puzzle geometry may not be redistributed, sublicensed, resold, shared as a digital download or used to provide a competing model-cutting service. Access is non-transferable and remains tied to the licensed account and the export record. Reasonable backup copies are allowed only for the licensed account holder's own use.

7. Prohibited content and use

You must not use the service to produce functional weapons or their components; content that infringes third-party rights; content that is illegal under Austrian or Union law; or content depicting a real person without their consent. You must not misrepresent the origin or licence of a model, attempt to bypass credits or access controls, or use the service to operate a file-resale or third-party seller service.

8. Reporting illegal or infringing content

Anyone can report website or curated-library content they consider illegal or infringing by sending a notice to support@puzzleform3d.com, in German or English.

To let us act, a notice should state:

1. why you consider the content illegal or infringing,
2. the exact page or model, by its address or title,
3. your name and email address, except where disclosure is not required by law, and
4. a statement that you believe the information in the notice to be accurate and complete.

We review the report, take appropriate action where required and inform the reporter of the outcome where appropriate. We do not generally monitor user-supplied private files and have no obligation to seek out illegality on our own initiative.

9. Printing, assembly and suitability

Generated parts are geometry. You are responsible for checking fit, tolerance, material, printer suitability and, where relevant, product-safety and labelling requirements before you print, use, give away or sell a printed object. Small parts can be a choking hazard. No warranty is given that any specific model, setting or printer produces a usable result.

We do not guarantee that a cut puzzle can be assembled. The service divides the model you supply into interlocking parts and checks the rules it can check on geometry alone. It cannot establish that the resulting set of parts actually goes together as a physical object. Whether it does depends on the shape of the source model, the settings you chose, and on your printer, material, tolerances and post-processing. Some models produce parts that do not fit, or that cannot be brought together in any order. That outcome is a limitation of the service, not a defect in an individual export, and no result is warranted to be assemblable.

Print a test copy before you sell. If you intend to sell printed objects under a commercial plan, print one complete copy of that puzzle and assemble it by hand before you offer it for sale. A commercial plan grants a right to sell what you print; it is not a statement that any particular cut puzzle works.

10. Availability and changes

The service is provided as it stands and may be changed, interrupted for maintenance, or discontinued. We will announce a discontinuation of paid features with reasonable notice. Changes to these terms that affect an ongoing paid plan are announced in advance and take effect for you only if you do not object before they apply.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where mandatory law provides. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an obligation essential to the purpose of the contract, and then only for the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract. Liability for lost data is limited to the effort that would have been needed to restore it from properly maintained backups.

12. Consumer rights and the right of withdrawal

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. For consumers in Austria, the Verbrauchergewährleistungsgesetz (VGG) applies to the extent its scope is met. The digital service must conform to the contract and to the objective requirements required by mandatory law. We provide legally required updates for the period required by law and inform consumers about them. No wording on this page excludes or shortens statutory conformity, warranty, update, withdrawal or refund rights.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the European Economic Area, applicable law may give you a statutory withdrawal period of 14 days for a qualifying contract. The right comes from the law and is not a voluntary promise by us. Consumers elsewhere keep the rights granted by the law that applies to them.

The exact eligibility and effect of withdrawal depend on the contract, your country, the product and the declarations collected at checkout. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy apply to the payment contract handled by Paddle as merchant of record. They describe the circumstances in which a consumer may withdraw from a digital product or the first payment of a subscription and the exceptions that can apply after digital delivery begins. A new withdrawal period must not be assumed for every later recurring payment.

For digital content, an early loss of the statutory right requires the express consent and acknowledgement required by applicable law, together with the required contract confirmation. Spending a credit does not by itself replace those declarations. The checkout wording and the mandatory law applicable to the purchase control.

A withdrawal does not have to take any particular form. An informal message to support@puzzleform3d.com naming the order is enough. If you would rather use a form, the online withdrawal form submits the same declaration and sends you a confirmation with a reference number.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this choice does not remove the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence, and consumers may sue and be sued at the courts provided for by law. For business users, the courts of Eisenstadt, Austria have exclusive jurisdiction.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

14. Curated model provenance

Each model in the public library identifies its source and applicable licence. The operator does not claim ownership of a third-party source model merely because it is made available as a curated starting point. Any permitted attribution or source-licence condition continues to apply to the user's resulting work.
